O.W.L. Folder
What is an O.W.L. folder?
· An OWL is a special folder that you will carry to and from school every day.
· O.W.L. is an acronym for Organized While Learning.
· The OWL folder will help keep students organized and parents in touch with our classroom.
OWL Rules
Take care of your OWL folder. You will use it all year.
Take your OWL home everyday and bring it back in the morning.
Keep your OWL clean. Do not eat or drink on it.
Do not draw or write on or in your OWL.
Show your OWL to your parents everyday! They will love to see you organized!
Overview of OWL folder:
Communication Notes: Jot me a note about dismissal changes, appointments, questions, etc-I check this daily
Right pocket- papers to keep at home, class newsletters, etc.
Left pocket- homework to be completed and brought back in the same pocket
Resource Pages-Weekly News, Weekly Words, Calendar
Reading Baggie
Monday-Thursday
Zip Lock Bag- Includes your weekly books/poem to read and record. Baggies are sent home on Monday's and must be turned in on Friday's for a completion grade.
Math/Writing Homework
Monday-Thursday reinforcement pages.
Math fluency fact flashcards and concept development practice. Writing activity will be sent on Monday's.
Weekly Words Homework
Practice reading and spelling weekly words. Try to read words in a snap and practice spelling and writing spelling words.
